How to add a sponsor

Add an advertiser, review the placement, and keep approval evidence.

Two things to set up

  1. Sponsor inventory — who you work with and available placements. Lives in Settings → Sponsors.
  2. Sponsor placement — the copy, deliverables, and call to action for one issue. Lives in the issue workspace.

Adding to inventory

  1. Go to Settings → Sponsors.
  2. Click "Add sponsor" and enter the advertiser and commitment details.
  3. Save. The sponsor becomes available when configuring an issue placement.

Adding to an issue

  1. Open Edit in the issue workspace and add or select a sponsor block.
  2. Link the placement to the sponsor from inventory.
  3. Add the submitted copy and call-to-action URL, then save the placement.

Send a sign-off link

Save the placement, then request sign-off before sending. PubOps creates a secure, expiring review link and attempts to email it. The result tells you whether the email was sent. If it was not, copy the link and share it with the sponsor yourself.

The sponsor sees the exact placement, then approves it or requests changes. If the reviewed copy changes later, PubOps requires a new approval.

After the issue is sent

The post-mortem keeps the advertiser, amount, sign-off status, and approval evidence in Sponsor approval records.
